The GasMix™ and LiqMix™ lines are AlyTech's innovative automated systems designed to mix or dilute vaporized gases and liquids to create customized gas mixtures on-site, suited to specific laboratory needs and applications such as calibration gas standards or synthetic atmospheres.
These versatile solutions are available in compact, benchtop, rack-mounted or portable formats.
NEPHOS is the latest addition to Alytech's LiqMix™ range. It enables the customized production of standard gases from pure liquids, diluted liquids or liquid mixtures. Cascade dilution, available as an option, allows very wide concentration ranges, from % to ppb.
The system precisely, accurately and repeatably vaporizes up to two liquid phases in a gas stream, generating a customized gas standard in different concentrations. The production of the standard benefits from full traceability.
The operating principle of NEPHOS is based on the proven technology of rmass flow controllers (MFC, or RDM). The RDMs are calibrated in the factory according to proprietary and rigorous procedures, traceable to NIST. The liquid phase is introduced into a vaporization chamber at a precisely controlled flow rate by a Coriolis type liquid flow meter, which can handle all types of liquids, pure or in solution, regardless of the environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, density, conductivity or viscosity).
The software works fully automatically, sequentially and can be synchronized with third-party instruments such as gas chromatographs, preconcentrators, spectrometers, gas analyzers or any other instrument.
